THE PREPPY LEOPARD

I would just like to start with a message to the horrible little *bleep* who stole my boyfriend's bike yesterday: I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you return the bike now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you!

He had owned the bike for only haf an hour, after buying it from someone on Gumtree. It was locked up securely on a bike rack with a D-lock and we were sat just round the corner and some a*****le still stole it. I cried because I was so sad for him - he never treats himself, but is always treating me, so my little heart just broke when someone took his treat from him. It hurts even more as out other bikes were stolen less than 48 hours after moving into a new place last year.

So now that I have got my teary rant out of the way (me so sad) I can talk about the fashion stuff. I bought this ASOS skater dress and shirt in the post Christmas sale and they have been firm favourites since. The dress because it makes me look like I have boobs (and I so don't) and the shirt because it goes with everything, so I can get all wear round wear out of it, as long as I don't get tomato sauce or gravy on it and ruin it. That is a big ask with someone as clumsy as me.

  1. Oh Gems, this sucks so much! I feel ya! A friend of mine got his bike stolen, (while he was drunk) very nasty business, who the hell would want it, it was an old ugly bike! I'm so sorry for the boyfriend, I'm beginning to like your boyfriend a lot, I mean...not in that way of course... in the way he treats you like my boyfriend and I feel like they have a lot in common :D
And now for the fashion part- I luuuv this outfit, the shirt underneath makes it so edgy! I love everything from Asos, why can't I have everything! :(

  2. Aww I'm so sorry to hear about the bike. People can be so cruel. I completely believe in karma though so fingers crossed they'll get what they deserve.

  4. That is so awful about your boyfriend's bike. I just can't believe who would do that. I would be so incredibly super angry. On another note I love the dress. I have always adored leopard print and this colour scheme is a lovely take on leopard print. The top under is a great idea and something I would not have thought of.

  8. Aw, Gems my heart broke too for you both when I read this about your lovely boyfriend's bike being stolen :-( You sound like super sweet people and it makes me so angry that there are such selfish idiots in this world that can destroy happiness with one nasty action. I really am so, so sorry to hear what happened. I really hope it turns out OK and it gets found before too long xo

I love your dress, so pretty and even more stylish with the shirt! No wonder they are your year round favourites! Your nails work in beautiful harmony with the outfit. There's something also that I love about a blue toned leopard print, it's just really unique <3 I'm with you on the boobs thing, my boyfriend's in fantastic shape (lucky thing) so I can't make a joke on moobs, but if he wasn't I might have cheekily risked telling him his boobs were bigger than mine! ;) :D Ha! My year round fashion essentials definitely have to be my leather trousers and maxi skirts!
