HILLBILLY TUXEDO

The double denim look - also known as the hillbilly tuxedo (sorry Cletus) has always been a look that has passed me by. Because I have huge teeth, I often feel like I look goofy enough, without taking on the hillbilly favourite, denim just everywhere. A stick of corn in my mouth and an attractive cousin by my side and I would be all set. Am I sterotyping a bit?

Skinny Jeans -Primark
I'm sorry for the poor quality pictures - I think I have lost my confidence in front of the camera, convinced I am losing my looks as each ay of my 30's progresses. Soon I will become Mrs Havisham-esque - hiding away in a darkened room, covered in dust and a raggedy wedding dress that I will never wear up an aisle, as no man would ever marry my ugle ass.

I also have a double denim look in all grey, you know that colour that really suits my littering personality.

Does double denim work for you? How do you wear it?

MONDAY MUST HAVES: BOOHOO FAVOURITES

An upcoming move means that money has been tight, leaving poor Gemma to screen shop on all my favorite internet stores, without ever pressing the 'add to basket' button. Although there was one time, when I simply could not resist - it was a beautiful cobalt blue lace dress from my all-time favourite, Boohoo. They had 20% off all dresses at the time, so it would have been rude not too.

That's one of the reasons why I love Boohoo so much - they always have great discounts and deals on shipping. At the time of publishing they have 20% New In, 25% off Shoes and Accessories, and £1.99 Next Day Delivery, where you have up until 9pm to order. You can keep an eye on the latest discounts on this page.

I have been lusting after so much at Boohoo, and with my birthday approaching in a few weeks, that shopping basket is going to be full.

1. Mia Stretch Print Plaited Jumpsuit
2. Kat Button Front 3/4 Sleeve Scarf Print Jumpsuit
3. Clarissa Zip Front Chambray Jumpsuit
4. Gail Grid Check Bandeau Jumpsuit
5.) Amiee Embroidered Panel Jumpsuit
I'm a jumpsuit obsessive, so it is always the first category I click on. I have a few Boohoo jumpsuits and I'm eager to add to my collection, both casual and more dressed up. How amazing is that chambray number...I've already cleared the mental space for it in my wardrobe.

1. Guns 'n' Roses Sleeveless Tank
2. Mya Mid Rise Relaxed Boyfriend Jeans
3. Boutique Daisy Waterfall Leather Look Jacket
4. Isabel Acid Wash Pocket Patch Denim Shorts
5. Gemma Toe Cap Trim Ponted Skater Flat.
6. Nicole Short Sleeve Crop Top
7. Helina Grey Marl Melange Joggers
If it is't jumpsuits thay get my sartorial juices flowing, it is streetwear. I may be approaching 32, but more often than not, I can be seen dressed like a teenage skater, and long may it continue. Boohoo have a great selection of denim, graphic tees and faux leather jacket, that no streetwear fan can be without. Those shoes are destined to be mine, don't you think? They are named after me after all.

What have you been lusting after on Boohoo's virtual racks?

TO THE BOILER ROOM

Boilersuit, Twenty8Twelve via eBay - Similar Here.
Yup, it's another jumpsuit - I know, I have a problem! This time it is the boiler suit variation of the jumpsuit, which may be my favourite variation because I feel like that hot welder from Flashdance. Don't worry I'm not going to embarass you all and strip off to do a little dance, I save that torture treat for Ryan. He is one lucky boy, exactly four years tomorrow since our first date - it has been a blast!

I tell you, this boiler suit has been my best eBay find of all time - a Twenty8Twelve beauty for just £5. The designer brand was famously founded by the beautiful and stylish Miller sisters, Sienna and Savannah and I got just what I expected from the boiler suit. Superb quality material, cool cut, attention to detail - off duty style at it's finest.

To keep the look casual chic, I teamed it with a simple Boohoo belt (from another jumpsuit), my trusty biker jacket and a pair of funky ballet pumps from Primark to add some colour. Still, I think it would look great styled for a night out with a statement necklace and a killer pair of heels.

How would you style the boiler suit?

THE HOUND

Yes that is a reference to Game of Thrones and one of the coolest TV characters there has ever been 'The Hound' - I think he single-handely boosted the sales of fried chicken across the country. If you're a fan of GoT, you will know what I'm talking about. If you're not a fan, you're obviously not watching it right; maybe you're facing away from the TV or something, or you have forgotten to open your eyes.

Houndstooth Playsuit, Boohoo - Similar Here.
Neon Belt, New Look -  Same Here (In the sale for £1.50)

Not only do I love The Hound, but I also love houndstooth (check out my linking skills), it is my second favourite print after leopard print, I love me some streetwalker chic. Monochrome is so easy to wear, as it suits all skin tones and is flattering to all body types, so I don't think any girl can be without a little bit in their wardrobe.

The super cute houndstooth playsuit from Boohoo was an eBay bargain at just 99p - it was like new and such a lovely soft material. It did come with a matching tie belt, bu I decided to add a pop of colour with a neon plaited belt from New Look. Red lips are always a monochrome must, although I would wear red lipstick with my pajamas.

It seems like houndstooth is going to be one of the key trends for the Autumn/Winter season, so I have picked out a few of my favourite high street finds, in case you feel like getting in on it.

The Hound: 1) Houndstooth Blanket Wrap, New Look; 2) Herschel Clutch Bag, ASOS; 3) Houndstooth Shirt, Topshop; 4) Chenille Houndstooth Mini Skirt, Marks and Spencer; 5) Houndstooth Loafers, Peacocks.
What do you lovelies think about the houndstooth trend?

THE JUMPSUIT OBSESSION CONTINUES

I haven't been this obsessed with anything since my childhood (well 13 year old) crush on Ash from Pokemon - yes Pokemon the cartoon. I've always had a thing for guys who are ambitious, dedicated and loyal and Ash was all of those things. I would watch every morning before leaving for school and I knew all the words to whatever song they played at the end. Pretty innocent of me considering what some of the girls at my school were already doing by then.

Jumpsuit, Boohoo - Similar Here.
Grey Flats, Primark - In Stores Now.
Name Necklace, Punky Pins - Same Here.

So this new obsession is jumpsuits. I can't get enough of them - their comfort and sartorial awesomeness, way out weights the toilet issues. This casual jumpsuit was a recent purchase in the Boohoo sale and I have barely had it off (and not because it got stuck over my rather large bum). The drawstring waist gives it a sport luxe feel and I can't wait to try it out with some sporty heels and my metallic clutch.

Thanks again for all your continued support about my opening up about mental illness. I don't think I could really face up to it if it wasn't for you guys.

OK I must be off because I've gotta catch 'em all!

JUMPING FOR JOY WITH BOOHOO

I am really trying to get outside to take some photographs for the blog, but when my own confidence is not holding me back, the weather is conspiring against me. When I took to the streets in this amazing Aria Neon Floral Capped Sleeve Jumpsuit from my online favourite Boohoo, the wind was surely at tornado level - my legs were almost whipped from underneath me in a comedy stylee a few times.

Neon Floral Jumpsuit, Boohoo - Same Here.
Biker Jacket, Matalan - Similar Here.
Nails, Primark - In store now for just £1

I notice lots of people giving me the eye in my jumpsuit - they were either jealous of the neon loveliness, or thought I was a little bit mad for wearing something so bright; the mad illusion wasn't helped by the birds nest hair caused by the aforementioned wind. I don't care what people thought, I love my Boohoo beauty - it fits like a dream, yet it is so comfortable and the colours just blow my mind.

Are you a fan of neon brights?

A LITTLE BIT OF LEOPARD!

Sorry for my lack of posting and blog commenting, it was my birthday on Friday so I have just been enjoying the festivities (expect a couple of haul posts soon). I had a really nice day, the lovely boyfriend went out to get croissants for breakfast, before presenting me with a dress from Romwe that I really. He then took me shopping for a few extra treats and then for a lovely Italian meal in the evening. We finished the day off watching The Woman in Black, which is a right fright-fest, and after all those Harry Potter movies, I have finally realised that Daniel Radcliffe is a good actor after all - he has the most wonderfully expressive eyes.

So anyway, this is what I wore for our little shopping trip, just a simple jersey dress, statement tights and my old faithful Converse.

Dress, Boohoo - same here.
Tights, Topshop - similar here.
Belt, H&M - similar here.
Necklace, PunkyPins - same here.
My old faithful Converse

Even though my boyfriend really made my day buying me some gorgeous wedged trainers, I still felt myself being a little down in the dumps after the day. When people you consider good friends don't take ten seconds out of their day to wish you happy birthday, or make even the slightest effort it can leave you feeling quite lonely.

So anyway, how was everyone's weekend? Wasn't it just heartbreaking for Andy Murray? Still I was so proud of him and I'm sure the best is yet to come!
