MY BEDROOM DOOR - APRIL 2012

It's a long story, but for some time now I have been without a wardrobe - yes I know it is difficult to comprehend the horror, but please stay with me. So for a while now I have been living a little bit like a bag lady, rummaging through various bags trying to find a certain item, only to find it hopelessly creased, crumpled at the bottom of the last place I looked.

I have got used to it, but like any girl, I sometimes like to see my favourite pieces of the moment hanging in all their glory. That's where my bedroom door comes in - I hang all the bits I'm loving at the time on the back to enjoy them whenever I like. So as a little insight to my 'wardrobe' I thought I would share what my bedroom door has in store for Spring (sorry to by Southern Hemisphere lovelies).

MANY HAPPY RETURNS!!

It was my sister's 30th birthday on the 7th, which meant a few drinks in town followed by a little bit of silly dancing - just so you know I don't drink so I always humiliate myself sober (for some reason). Anyway, my sister and her friends are a stylish bunch, so jeans and a t-shirt weren't going to cut the mustard - how do you even cut mustard anyway?

So I hit the shops and bought the gorgeous New Look Limited Edition Dress that I recently featured on my April 2012 wishlist. A few accessories, a fresh coat of nail varnish (which took two attempts) and retro style quiff for the hair (no seriously) and I was good to go. Here is what I wore...

So anyway, here is what I wore:

I can see this stunning pastel dress becoming one of my wardrobe favourites, it's girly, but a little bit rock and roll at the same time.

THE ULTIMATE & THE REALISTIC - APRIL 2012

With any spare five minutes that I have, I will be browsing the internet checking out all the latest fashions. I would liken it to a yo-yo dieter longingly browsing the bakery, or a pyromaniac in a match factory - the ultimate tease and temptation. However, every now and then I come across a little gem that isn't way out of my price range, and that I wouldn't be to afraid to wear - the new attainable and realistic loves of my life.

PERSONAL STYLE - SIMPLY STRIPES

I'm aware that I am still the personal style novice, but I still think it's nice to share the fashion I wear, and not only what I lust after (what I lust after is rarely what I can afford). So here is the outfit I wore out to a few afternoon drinks at the weekend.

It was an eventful affair - after rather inadvisedly playing air hockey with an iPhone, I almost got stuck trying to retrieve said iPhone when in disappeared between a wall and a sturdy wooden bench. Having the thinnest arms and teeniest I was tasked with retrieving the phone from it's hiding place only to get my hand and arm fully wedged - of course Mr. Well Done and friends were totally sympathetic with their uncontrollable laughter and pointing. Finally, after almost resigning myself to living in the booth of the bar for the rest of my life, i wriggled free, complete with lost iPhone.

So anyway, here is my relaxed Saturday drinks outfit. Please let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions of how I can take it to the next level please let me know...

I love this little Miso skater dress, it is one of my ultimate wardrobe staples, I will be heart-broken well it eventually dies - I don't think I will be able to let it go. What one item in your wardrobe can you not live without?

RELIGION - SPRING/SUMMER 2012

I have never really considered myself to be a religious person, but I certainly would worship at the alter of cult British fashion label Religion. With collections inspired by international street culture and the grungy style of East London, Religion have the key to my fashion heart - edgy, distressed and innovative silhouettes. It's fashion for the rock star that lies within. Here are some of my favourite looks from their latest collection, Spring/Summer 2012.

THE CLASH

No I don't mean the English Punk Rock band, so put away the giant nose rings, suspenders and ultra-hold hair gel. I am talking about clashing prints - they have been all over the runways and now filtering onto the street. If you wanna be heard this season, let the clothes do the talking and make them loud - need a bit of inspiration? Here are some of my favourite colour clash looks from the catwalk.

 I haven't tried this trend for myself yet, as over recent years I have become a complete wh*re for leopard print and don't really have any prints to clash with, any suggestions? Anyway I have had a little go at styling this trend. I went for a simple colour palette of blues an mustard to keep the focus on the stunning prints.
