PERSONAL STYLE - WHERE'S THE REF?

As promised in one of my earlier style posts, I have something a little bit more 'dressed up' for you guys...I give you the slutty ref look! I actually didn't notice I looked a little bit like a referee gone bad until I saw the pictures, but it just makes me love the outfit more. This dress from Missguided is my new favourite, its so versatile and wearable, and pops of colour can be added so easily with a vibrant pair of shoes or even a slick of nail polish.

In fact Missguided are on form in the dresses department at the minute, there are so many others that I would love to add to my wardrobe, but May is ebay shopping month so I will have to hope for something special popping up on my search results...I'm sick of ebay suggesting that I should be buying gold lame stripper dresses!

Anyway, this is what I wore to a house-warming party, where as the only non-drinker (I'm a total saint don't you know), I got to laugh at the gang playing drinking games and predictably made repeat trips to the buffet for pizza and those cocktail sticks with sausage, pineapple and cheese...seriously, how great are those?!

Dress and Tights, Missguided.
Shoes, ASOS.
Envelope Clutch, Belt and Jewellery, H&M

NYC Pier 17 Polish
Rimmel Green With Envy 60 Seconds Polish

This outfit had too rather butch women shouting down the street how gorgeous I was...that has to mean it was a success...right?
Have you guys been wearing any sporty-themed outfits recently?
Any suggestions on what colours to wear with this dress next to add a bit of extra wow!

How about this sun UK readers...I'm off for some lunch on the grass...toodles!

ANIMAL ON DECK

Well I have been quite busy the past few weeks so I haven't had a chance to glam about the place, so it's another casual outfit post I'm afraid - although I promise you I have a 'dressed-up' outfit post for you guys later in the week, in which I look a little like a slutty referee. That should keep the sports fans interested.

Anyway speaking of sports, this is what I wore to an FA-Cup final party my sister threw last weekend - I'm not really interested in football, Athletics is more my sport, so I spent most of the time hovering around the party food table, gorging.

I have had this little nautical blazer from Topshop for a few years now and I just love it, the buttons are falling off, its getting a bit worn on the cuffs, but it only makes me treasure it more - the wear and tear just shows the love I have put into it. And of course since I am a total animal print whore (seriously I'm borderline street walker) there had to be a little bit in my outfit.

Nautical Style Blazer, Topshop
Animal Print Tee and Coated Jeans H&M
Skinny Belt, New Look
My Old Faithful Converse

Cassette Tape Necklace, Punky Pins
Heart Ring, H&M
NYC Spring Street polish

I know it's not the most exiting of outfits, but I am in general a casual girl - I have no need for well tailored work wear since I work from home, often a pair of pyjamas or holey track pants does the job. I do promise to try and add more outfit posts in the future...so watch this space...are you watching? Good!

So are any of you guys out there interested in any sports? Player or spectator?

CHECK ON CHECKS

Last weekend I went out for a lovely Saturday lunch for some warming Mexican Tapas on a rainy day. Is anyone else insanely sick of the rain yet - it can be glorious sunshine outside, but in the five minutes it took me to decide I'm gonna get some fresh air, the sky has gone grey and it's raining up a storm. And don't get me started on the wind - it makes having an umbrella pointless, and results in any wonderful style and beauty look you have put together, look a soggy mess once you reach your destination.

Anyway, before I rant you into a boredom induced coma, here's what I wore.

Checked Trench Coat, New Look
Nautical Style Scarf, H&M
Royal Blue Jeans, Dorothy Perkins
Converse Hi-top Sneakers
Slogan Tank with PU Trim, Miss Selfridge
Open Checked Shirt and Belt, H&M
Headband, Primark
Necklace and Rings, H&M
NYC Spring Street polish; Collection 2000, Sherbert Lemon

And I couldn't leave you without showing you a picture of the incredible food from the fabulous Las Iguanas, and the good news is, they have plenty of locations throughout the UK - so to say something incredibly cheesy, get some spice in your life.

Nachos, Pear and Brie Salad, Jumbo Pawns, Calamari and Tostadas, there was also some glorious Chorizo in there too.
So how have you all been spending your weekend, where have you been going and what have you been wearing?
And to all my little lovelies down under I hope you had a fantastic Mothers Day!

ACCESSORISING APRIL

Throughout April I have been trying to curb my spending since it is a big birthday month - we have had my fabulous sister's 30th, my hero Granda Dava's 80th Birthday and in the first week of May it's Mr Well Done's birthday (how bloody selfish of him), so I've been watching the wallet making sure I can get them the wonderful gifts that they deserve.

Of course, Sods Law dictates that when you can't spend money, you can't stop seeing things that you want to spend money on. But, I was good and instead of buying new outfits that I definitely didn't need, I bought reasonably priced accessories that would change the look of garments that I already had, giving them a fresh feel.

1. Silver Envelope Clutch,H&M
2. NYC Spring Street polish; Collection 2000 Love Your Lips in Passion; Collection 2000, Sherbert Lemon.
3. Snakeskin Woven Straw Clutch, H&M
4. Striped Cotton Scarf, H&M
5.Barry M Mint Green Polish; Rimmel Lasting Polish in Your Majesty.

6. Vintage Beaded Collar
7.) Silver Buckle Bracelet, H&M
8.) Silver Rings, H&M

Also this month I was lucky enough to win a competition this month on Facebook from one of my favourite new bands Clement Marfo & The Frontline, winning a signed T-shirt. It came in the post a few weeks ago, and I can't decide if I should wear it, or keep it safe until they are huge - an investment so to speak. Check out their hit, Mayhem ft Kano - it is one hell of a tune.

So what have you guys been spending your hard earned money on this month?
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.
