BRINGING LACEY BACK!

Before you think I am a total mental case wearing something so skimpy when it is so crazily cold outside, I should say that this outfit is from way back in September 2012, when we had a few days of warmth before descending into the nightmarish cold winter. I feel sad when I see these pictures because I only ever got to wear this gorgeous lace-back tee from Bershka the once in the summer months as we never had the weather...well at least it will seem fresh next summer if it ever arrives.

Has your little world come to a stand still with the weather? Still desperate for a wardrobe since I have moved in with the boyfriend, but the weather will just not allow me to get to IKEA...not that I'm too eager to be herded around the store by the IKEA nazi's...why can I not just go directly to bedroom furniture, why must I be led past all the tempting candles and nic-nacs thatI don't need but buy anyway!

Is anyone reading any good books at the minute, I am reading The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins...it is right up my street as an atheist with a logical and enquiring mind.

LEGS ELEVEN

I have quite a lot of outfit posts backed up, since I have been so busy the last few weeks being glued to the Olympics and chained to the desk with work, so I though it was time to get posting - see how dedicated I am, doing this for you guys on a Saturday night. Well actually I'm anything to avoid the X-Factor, I can't forgive them for unleashing Olly Murs on the world, or Alexander Burke for that matter and what about Louis Walsh? Some things can't be unseen or unheard...Oh the horror!

So now that the rant is over, I can tell you that this is what I wore when I popped out for a few drinks a few weeks ago -  I am certainly getting a lot of wear out of my £3.99 shorts.

FOR THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE

Come on then, who else has completely caught Olympic fever - I feel like I have been waiting for it forever and now it is finally here, it's an awesome feeling. However, during the Opening Ceremony I felt slightly guilty that I had never heard of some of the countries, but I suppose for the next two weeks there is only one country that matters - Great Britain. That is why I decided to go all patriotic on the first day of the sporting activities, with some Red, White and Blue. I added my gorgeous ASOS Union Jack Sunnies just in case I wasn't patriotic enough!

Of course even if the Olympics is on, you can't miss an opportunity to get some sun, so me and the boyfriend went of for a little jaunt. We came across a bit of a food festival at Newcastle Cathedral, we used this as an opportunity to check out the Cathedral as we had never been in before and what an absolutely amazing building - religious or not (I'm not), I would recommend anyone living in or visiting Newcastle to check it out.

Following a cup of tea we checked out some of the stalls in the courtyard and I picked up this lovely little necklace for just £1 - It was made by Jessica Babirye of the Together We Can Project of Kalule Uganda. The proceeds from the sale will help her feed her family and pay their school fees, how wonderful is that?

Since the proceeds from all their little table top sales were going to charity, I also picked up these 5 amazing wooden rings at an epic 50p a piece - aren't they beautiful?

GHETTOFABULOUS!

After lusting after them on various website, catwalk pictures and blogs for so long, i finally have a pair of wedge trainers of my very own, and it was live at first site. My boyfriend was kind enough to buy them for me for my birthday, they were on sale for the bargain price of £15, I couldn't possibly leave them in the store.

Itching to wear them, I strutted around the city centre in them the very next day, feeling every inch the ghetto princess, with my sassy slogan tee and leopard print bomber. As a clumsy buffoon I was sure I would trip at some point, maybe break my ankle, still I was prepared to take the risk. However, my little beauties were surprisingly easy to walk in and really comfortable - I didn't walk into any more things than I usually do or anything.

I implore you to get down to Primark for a pair right now, I went for the gold trimmed style, but they also have a navy trimmed version.
