MY SQUEAKY PANTS

For so long I have been searching for the perfect pair of leatherette pants. I thought I had found them when I saw the perfect pair of leatherette jeans on the H&M website - I ordered them in a size then as I knew their trews were small fitting. The thing is when they arrived I would have needed a pound of lard and forklift to get them over my fat ass...gutted.
After several more unsuccessful attempts in New Look, River Island and Primark, I had almost given up, resigned myself to the fact that leatherette pants and my disproportionately large bum were never going to give in, then I was saved by the miracle that is elasticated waistband. Thank you jeggings for making the waistband acceptable once again - the elasticated waistband made the £15 leather trousers from H&M fit perfectly.

Although they do squeak a bit when I walk, they are comfortable, look awesome and I love them...can't wear them enough!

Jumper, New Look

What has been your favourite item of clothing recently?

Sorry I have been so bad blogging recently, I'm just so down on myself after finding my hours as a freelance writer reduced. I'm trying to get back to myself I swear.

FILM CLUB: SINISTER

There are two things in life that I love: a good scare and Ethan Hawke's lovely weird teeth. So when they both came together with the release of scarefest 'Sinister', I was pretty darn excited. The movie follows egotistical true crime author Ellison Oswalt (I know I don't know where they got that name from either) as he moves his family into a murder house to write his latest book on the previous owners who were all hung in the backyard. Apart from one of the children that is, who has since been missing.

It isn't long before Ellison finds some horrifying home movies in the attic, showing not only the fate of the family he is investigating, but also many other families, all linked by the mysterious 'Mr Boogie'. Instead of going to the police with his findings, Ellison keeps it secret hoping it will lead to success with his latest work, to see him once again in the spotlight he so craves. Of course, this was not a smart move and cue scares a plenty.

I have to say, I haven't seen a horror movie this good in a very long time - one moment I was on the edge of my seat, the next I was being scared right out of it. There was tension throughout the movie that grew and grew with each scene to the shocking conclusion. It is a must see for fans of the horror movie genre.

I leave you with the tantalizing trailer and a few words...Once you have seen him, nothing can save you!

Have any of you guys seen it, and what did you think?

I AM LEOPARD HERE ME ROAR!

I am so sorry bloggers, I know I have been terrible recently, I have just been so low on motivation recently after some problems with work. As a result I am rather far behind on outfit (and any other kind of posting). Being a long-time sufferer of depression I take set-backs really personally, letting them really hit my self esteem - luckily I have an amazing boyfriend and family, which help me get right out of that funk.

So anyway, excuses over - I promise I will really try to be better for you guys and get back to my blogging best. So this is a super cute little dress I bought recently in the Missguided sale - yes my addiction to leopard print is as strong as ever - it is just perfect for all occasions.

Dress, Missguided - same here.
Shoes, Matalan - same here.

How do you guys deal with blogging funk?

I don't want things to affect something that I really love so an advice would be appreciated.

TOPSHOP UNIQUE - Spring/Summer 2013

London Fashion Week is here and there is always one collection that I look forward to - TOPSHOP UNIQUE. The main reason of course is that Topshop have an absolutely amazing design team, who really relish the opportunity to push their boundaries to create something entirely amazing. Additionally, some of the fab unique pieces make it into stores, making their collection the only one to hit the runways that I can actually afford...Thank you Topshop.

Always a brand to go innovative on the catwalk, for the Spring/Summer 2013 collection Topshop Unique went truely interactive when showing their collection on the 16th. You didn't have to be in the front row to catch all the action as it happened, the show streamed live with a clever little Facebook app that allowed viewers to click and capture their favourite looks from the comfort of your sofa...take that Olivia Palmero (yeah you look great, but what do you actually do).

If that wasn't enough Topshop gave viewers the chance to customise the catwalk by changing the colour of the looks and accessories and share them the very moment they hit the runway. It was like running your own catwalk...I tell you it was fantastic. I only wish I had took advantage of ordering some of the looks direct from the catwalk to have them delivered to my door way before they arrived in store...damn this being poor lark.

So here is the fantastic Spring/Summer 2012 collection from Topshop Unique...you will not be disappointed! The Space Age silhouettes, palette and fabrics interspersed with pops of vibrant yellow...yes please!

To see the collection from Topshop Unique in it's entirety, just follow the link.

What is your favourite piece? I am dying over the silver and white trousers.

GETTING NAILED

Hey guys, sorry I have been such a terrible blogger recently, I have been right down in the dumps with the whole blogging thing recently. Since I spend all day working making other fashion blogs a success, coming back to mine on a night time in my spare time seems almost unfair. Hopefully this is a sign that I will be getting my mojo back.

Anyway starting of my return it's a quick post to celebrate how awesome Primark's stick on nails are. I bought a couple of sets to put in my little sister's birthday present a few weeks ago and thought at just £1 (yes that's right the same price as a McFlurry) I may as well try out some for myself.

I was amazed at how easy they were to apply, just a bit glue to the nail, press for 5 seconds and voila, gorgeous nails. The look seriously good too, and since manicures are so ridiculously expensive I think I will be popping to Primarni when I need some nails for a special occasion.

I trimmed the nails down a little bit after this pic was taken as I like shorter nails, but all that took was some nail clippers and they still looked amazing.

So have any of you tried any Primark cosmetics?

STARS AND SPIKES

I have to apologise for my lack of posting the past few weeks, I have just been totally caught up in Olympic and Paralympic fever and have been wanting to spend every last moment with my heroes. I'm feeling a bit down and the dumps now that it is all over, but it does mean I can get back to blogging - I do have quite a few outfit posts up my sleeve.

So here is a little outfit I wore while have a jaunt around town, the star print tee and neon necklace are courtesy of OASAP, you must have heard of them by now as they are an online fashion tour de force - what I love about them is that your really unlikely to see someone wearing the same piece as you, but you will get loads of compliments on what you are wearing. And did someone say free delivery?

The t-shirt had a loose silhouette, which is so hot right now and so awesome on most people, but since I have the physique of a pre-adolescent boy I had to go for the knotted look to give me the curves I so desperately need. Still I think it worked out quite well. Also how fabulous are my creepers from Tribeca Shoes - amazing right and just £18.

So now that the Olympics and Paralympics is all over, what has been your favourite sporting moment of the Summer?

Congratulations to Andy Murray too, who won his first grand slam title with the US Open - well desrved.
